What do I do?
I am a lawyer with more than 20 years of commercial legal experience, spanning transactional, advisory and dispute resolution work.
I have considerable experience in all areas of commercial law, with particular expertise in insolvency law, company law, contract law, construction law and employment law.
I deal with problems in an efficient and strategically focused way. My experience as a transactions lawyer gives me an advantage when dealing with the commercial disputes which I handle on a daily basis.
Many 'litigation' lawyers are apprehensive about appearing in Court. I am not one of those but I do believe that clients’ interests are often best served by achieving a negotiated outcome. I help to resolve many more disputes by way of negotiation, often using mediation, than by going to Court or arbitration or some other more formal process. I have a reputation as a particularly effective mediation advocate.
What do I enjoy about what I do?
I enjoy dealing with people and I particularly enjoy the mental challenge of identifying and developing the best possible strategy for my clients. I thoroughly enjoy the law and keeping myself up to date with developments in my practice areas.
What am I like out of work?
I enjoy spending time with family and riding my collection of bicycles. I take an active interest on what’s going on in the world. I enjoy current affairs, reading and watching sport. I’m confident that I am the North Shore’s most prolific all-weather barbecue cook!
